Why I am running for Election
I have decided to run as an Independent Community Candidate in the forthcoming local elections (Ballina Electoral Area).
My interest in becoming a public representative stems solely from my desire to do something positive for this area. As someone who has lived all of
my life here, and been involved in a wide variety of community and sporting pursuits, I am acutely aware of the need for strong representation in order to create a better future for the area.
I have a deep love of the place where I grew up and where I now live and work, and where I have invested in business in the hope of generating employment.
I am passionate about representing this area on Mayo County Council in a strong, consistent and imaginative way.
I believe this area needs strong representation NOW – and that’s why I am running as an Independent Community Candidate.
Now I want to accept a new challenge – that of representing my local area so that I can help to stimulate vital local activity. This area has been neglected for too long and I will fight might and main to put it back on the map.
